Since 1995, we have pursued a vision to gather drummers to play together as an act of prophetic worship for Jesus Christ.

In a global culture where rhythm is the soundtrack to millions of lives, I believe that the vision and ministry of Psalm Drummers is a powerful sign of God’s heartbeat for redemption.

About

by Terl Bryant, founder.

Psalm Drummers have a privileged call to participate in an unusual and powerful kind of worship. As we play, I believe we get to see these verses come alive.

“To the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 3:10

“Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in.” Psalm 24:7

The vision came through a dream

How we operate

We believe that as we worship, we somehow carry the heartbeat of God in our rhythms. It is central to our vision. Our star/heart logo symbolises the prayer found in the book of Ephesians 3:16-19.

Psalm Drummers is not the name of our organisation, but the vision for a calling that we each identify with.

We meet as drummers for prayer and worship and help support others by doing the same. Our network is built on friendships, some established for many years.

A few act as leaders; we call them Ambassadors. They help with strategic stuff as we go out to serve others.

Our activities are overseen by founder Terl Bryant (Brighton) along with Simon Zacharia (Nottingham) who makes sure we get things done.

We also have a group of drummer and non-drummer friends who help out with practical and spiritual matters, including a couple of clever theologians who keep a watchful eye over us.
